Blackmagic Camera 3.3 Adds Apple Watch Control & ProRes RAW Stabilization
Blackmagic Design has released version 3.3 of its free Blackmagic Camera app for iPhone, introducing a dedicated Apple Watch companion app and adding stabilization support for ProRes RAW capture.
The update transforms the iPhone into a fully remote cinema camera, controllable directly from your wrist.
Key Features of Version 3.3
- Apple Watch Companion App: Offers a near-instant viewfinder, allowing users to monitor video, start/stop recording, and apply LUTs from their wrist. Note: Some users may experience occasional lag or freezing, which can be mitigated by adjusting screen timeout settings.
- ProRes RAW Stabilization: Now supported on iPhone 17 Pro models running iOS 26.1 or later.
- ATEM Mini Control: Accessible via the Blackmagic Camera ProDock.
- Manual Focus Options: New Focus and Zoom demand controls are available.
- Vertical Frame Guides: Added for improved composition.
