Lamborghini has announced the Fenomeno Roadster, a limited-production open-top supercar and the final model in its "Few-Off" series. Based on the Lamborghini Revuelto, the vehicle features a hybrid V12 powertrain and is limited to just 15 units, all of which have been sold to selected global collectors. Deliveries are expected to begin in late 2026.
Powertrain and Performance
The Fenomeno Roadster is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with three electric motors. According to Lamborghini, the total system output is 1,065 HP (794 kW). The internal combustion engine produces 621 kW (Source 2) or 614 kW (Source 3) and 725 Nm of torque. The combined torque figure is reported as 1,075 Nm.
The powertrain includes an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. A 7 kWh lithium-ion battery, reported to be double the size of the Revuelto's battery, provides up to 20 km of electric range.
Performance figures released by the manufacturer include:
- 0–100 km/h in 2.4 seconds
- 0–200 km/h in 6.8 seconds
- Top speed exceeding 340 km/h
For comparison, the Fenomeno coupe reaches 0–200 km/h in 0.1 seconds faster and has a top speed exceeding 350 km/h.
Chassis and Engineering
The vehicle uses a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, described by Lamborghini as a "monofuselage" structure. Because the Revuelto's chassis was not designed for a roofless variant, engineers developed a new bonding fluid and used long and short carbon fibers to increase rigidity. Modified front and rear crash structures and a new cradle behind the seats enhance stiffness and side-impact protection. The vehicle's weight is 1,780 kg.
Engineers redesigned the cooling system due to the removal of the roof scoop. Changes include a reshaped, longer windscreen rail, a new engine cover, and wind-tunnel-honed roll-over hoops. Lamborghini states downforce has increased by 30% compared to the coupe without sacrificing cooling performance.
Lamborghini reported that the lower production volume compared to the Fenomeno Coupe (29 units) is due to the roadster's inability to pass US pedestrian impact tests because of the new front crash structure. Engineers stated they could have addressed the issue but had insufficient time.
Design and Aerodynamics
The Fenomeno Roadster was designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, led by Mitja Borkert. Aerodynamic elements include a flat windshield with a carbon-fiber spoiler and "Speedster humps" for rollover protection. The roll bars are shaped to reduce wind noise and turbulence for occupants.
The show car's launch specification features a paint scheme combining Blu Cepheus and Rosso Mars, inspired by the 1968 Miura Roadster. The vehicle is available in unlimited paint combinations.
The car rides on 21-inch front and 22-inch rear alloy wheels. New Countach-inspired wheels save 3 kg per corner. The vehicle uses custom Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires with run-flat technology and optional semi-slicks.
Stopping power comes from next-generation CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes with organic pads. A new 6D sensor monitors lateral acceleration and angular velocity, feeding data to the Integrated Vehicle Estimator and Integrated Brake Controller, which Lamborghini claims reduces braking distances by 10%.
The vehicle features fully adjustable race-suspension with manually adjustable shock absorbers, torque vectoring, and chassis management systems carried over from the Revuelto.
Interior
The cabin is driver-centric with a "Pilot Interaction" concept featuring aviation-style switches. Materials include carbon fiber, Corsatex, and Carbon Skin. The interior features hexagonal motifs in digital displays and controls. The cabin is largely carried over from the Revuelto with additional personalization options.
The vehicle has no weatherproofing or emergency roof. Modified front crash structures prevent the use of the coupe's full carbon-fiber race seats.
Production and Pricing
Production is limited to 15 units, all of which are reportedly sold out. Official pricing has not been disclosed. Source 1 estimates the value above AUD$4 million; Source 2 reports each unit is costing over €5 million.
Context
The Fenomeno follows Lamborghini's series of "few-off" models beginning with the Reventon in 2009, followed by the Veneno (2013), Centenario (2016), and Sián (2019), all of which had roadster variants. Technology developed for the Fenomeno Roadster, including ultra-lightweight wheels, is expected to appear on future series-production Lamborghinis.
