Anthony Seibold, the recently sacked Manly Sea Eagles NRL coach, has taken a part-time role at AFL club Collingwood for the remainder of the season.

"I know the head coach (Craig McRae) very well," Seibold stated. "I've been there a couple of times so I'm going to have a small role there for the rest of the season."

AFL reporter Mitch Cleary confirmed Seibold will work with coaches and football department staff on off-field development.

Seibold was sacked by the Sea Eagles following a 0-3 start to the NRL season.
