WhatsApp for iOS Continues to Adopt Apple’s Liquid Glass Design

The latest TestFlight build of WhatsApp for iOS introduces significant visual updates to the message reaction tray and context menus, further aligning the app with Apple’s Liquid Glass design language.

The reaction tray and context menus are being redesigned to match the Liquid Glass aesthetic, which features transparency and blur effects.

Key Updates in the Latest Build

While these changes are not yet live for beta testers, they were activated ahead of the official release for analysis by WABetaInfo. The new interface elements showcase the signature transparency and blur effects characteristic of the Liquid Glass style.

Previous Liquid Glass Rollouts

This is not the first time WhatsApp has adopted the new aesthetic. Earlier updates brought Liquid Glass styling to:

  • The bottom navigation bar
  • The Chats tab interface
  • The voice message player

Limited Public Availability

Despite these ongoing updates, the rollout of Liquid Glass to the public remains limited. The majority of users still see the pre-Liquid Glass interface, and no release date for these specific changes has been announced.
