Milk-V Launches Jupiter2: A Next-Gen RISC-V Mini-ITX Board

The Milk-V Jupiter2, a powerful successor to the original Jupiter, has been formally announced as a mini-ITX single-board computer built for performance and connectivity.

"The Jupiter2 is based on the SpacemiT K3 system-on-chip, which includes eight X100 cores running at 2.4 GHz implementing the RVA23 profile."

Core Specifications & Performance

At the heart of the Jupiter2 is the SpacemiT K3 SoC, featuring a sophisticated heterogeneous architecture:

  • CPU: Eight X100 cores at 2.4 GHz (RVA23 profile)
  • AI Acceleration: Eight A100 cores
  • GPU: Imagination BXM-4-64-MC1
  • Real-Time Coprocessor: Dual-core RT24 with I2C, I2S, CAN-FD, UART, and GPIO

Memory and Storage

The board supports up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 256 GB of UFS storage, ensuring ample capacity for demanding workloads.

  • M.2 M-key (PCIe Gen. 3 x4) for NVMe SSDs or accelerators

Connectivity and Networking

The Jupiter2 is designed with high-speed networking and expansion in mind:
