The Garmin vivosmart 6, an unannounced fitness tracker, has resurfaced in a user survey from Garmin Connect, marking the first sign of the device in six months.
A survey sent to Garmin Connect users has revealed a new clue about the long-rumored vivosmart 6. The survey, part of Garmin's internal product research, asks users which activity tracker they primarily use, listing several current models alongside the unreleased vivosmart 6. This serves as the first indication in six months that the name remains active within Garmin's ecosystem.
The vivosmart 6 was previously teased in December 2024, when multiple clues pointed to its development. A Korean regulatory listing for a Garmin "Fitness Product" and metadata on Garmin's Indonesian website both referenced the device. That metadata described a significant upgrade: built-in GPS, a feature the Vivosmart 5 lacks (it relies on connected GPS from a paired smartphone). The listing also mentioned over 30 sports apps, including tracking for walking, running, cycling, swimming, and wheelchair activities.
Despite these clues, Garmin has made no official announcement regarding the vivosmart 6's specs, pricing, or release date. Since the December leaks, industry attention has largely shifted to the rumored CIRQA Smart Band, a product expected to be a different type of health band, likely closer to a WHOOP-style device. It remains possible that Garmin is preparing both a traditional Vivosmart update and a separate, dedicated smart band product.
