Drake Shatters Spotify Single-Day Records in 2026 with Triple Album Drop
Drake achieved the single-day records for most-streamed artist, album, and song on Spotify in 2026, the platform announced on May 15. The historic milestone came following the release of his first solo projects since 2023: three albums titled Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti.
The album Iceman became the most-streamed album of 2026 in a single day, while its track Make Them Cry claimed the title of most-streamed song of the year in a single day. Spotify made the announcement across its social channels.
Drake’s previous solo album was 2023’s For All the Dogs. In 2025, he released a joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR titled Some Sexy Songs 4 U. The previous 2026 single-day streaming record for an album was held by BTS’s ARIRANG, released in March.
On Make Them Cry, Drake references BTS with the lyric: "I'm feeling like BTS, 'cause it took the whole career for me to be so discovered."
The lyric was highlighted in an Instagram clip posted by BTS member V, showing Drake with J-Hope reacting to the line.
