Apple Re-Releases the Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand for iPhone

Apple announced today that the Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand for iPhone is again available for purchase, following its initial release in November 2023 which sold out quickly.

The accessory was originally launched as part of Apple's 40-year celebration of accessibility.

Now Available Worldwide

It is now available worldwide for the first time, thanks to a collaboration between artist Bailey Hikawa and PopSockets. The grip is designed to accommodate various ways of holding an iPhone, reducing the effort needed to keep it steady.

Features and Design

The product is made from premium silicone and comes in three colors: blue, orange, and stone. It attaches via MagSafe and functions both as a grip and a stand, supporting vertical and horizontal orientations.

Pricing and Availability

Price: $54.95; available to order from Apple's website. Inventory levels have not been disclosed.

Background

The grip was designed by Los Angeles-based artist and industrial designer Bailey Hikawa. Apple described it as an adaptive accessory informed by input from individuals with disabilities affecting muscle strength, dexterity, and hand control.
