Anker Solix S2000: A Compact Power Station That Tackles Idle Drain and Bulk
"The S2000 consumes only 6W when idle, significantly less than competitors like EcoFlow, Bluetti, and Jackery, which can draw over 30W."
Anker has launched the Solix S2000, a 2kWh power station that directly addresses two of the most persistent complaints about portable power: idle power draw that silently drains the battery, and the bulky, hard-to-store physical size of competing units.
Low Idle Power Consumption
The company claims the S2000 consumes just 6W when idle—a stark contrast to models from EcoFlow, Bluetti, and Jackery, which can draw over 30W in the same state. This efficiency means less energy lost when the unit is turned on but not actively powering devices.
Compact Design, Higher Energy Density
Measuring 208 x 282 x 323mm, the S2000 offers an energy density of 106Wh/L. Anker states this is higher than comparable models, allowing for a more compact footprint without sacrificing capacity. The unit weighs 16.2kg (35.7 pounds) and features AC outputs on both the front and back for easier cable management.
Inverter & Power Output
The unit uses a 1500W inverter—smaller than the typical 2400W+ units found in rivals, but still sufficient for most household appliances. It can peak at 3000W for short periods to handle surge loads. A 2kWh battery capacity is enough to power a large fridge/freezer for over a day.
Ports & Solar Input
- Two USB-C ports (100W max each)
- One USB-A port
- 400W solar input
