Footballer Lionel Messi completed a three-day tour of India, concluding with an event in Delhi following earlier events in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.

On Monday, an event featuring Messi was held at a stadium in Delhi. Messi, accompanied by Inter Miami teammates Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul, participated in activities on the pitch, which included kicking balls towards the stands, passing with children, and signing autographs. Local media reported that Messi's flight to Delhi from Mumbai experienced delays due to fog and reduced visibility, necessitating adjustments to his schedule.
Kolkata Incidents
The tour commenced with promotional events in Kolkata on Saturday. Prior to an event at Salt Lake Stadium, Messi virtually unveiled a 21-meter (70ft) statue of himself, constructed by a 45-person crew over 27 days.
During the event at Salt Lake Stadium, attendees damaged seats and threw objects onto the pitch.
