Apple TV to Stream First-Ever Pro Sports Broadcast Shot Entirely on iPhone 17 Pro
On May 23, 2026, Apple TV will stream a Major League Soccer match between LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC, captured entirely on iPhone 17 Pro. This marks the first professional live sports event broadcast using only iPhones.
The match will air at 7:30 p.m. PT from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
Apple TV previously used iPhone 17 Pro for select segments in a September 2025 baseball broadcast and expanded its use in subsequent MLS productions. The iPhone 17 Pro features three 48MP cameras and Apple Log 2 video capabilities.
