Infinity Ward Announces New Co-Studio Heads
Infinity Ward, the original developer of the Call of Duty franchise, has named Jack O'Hara and Mark Grigsby as its new co-studio heads.
O'Hara joined Infinity Ward in 2012. Grigsby began his tenure at the studio in 2005, left to work at Respawn Entertainment, and returned in 2012.
The new leadership team has confirmed the studio intends to maintain its core design philosophy moving forward.
A Defining Moment for the Series
The upcoming 2026 Call of Duty title will be the first entry in the series since the passing of Vince Zampella in December 2025. The studio has not yet finalized plans for how to honor him.
Regarding Zampella's legacy, O'Hara stated:
"We haven't finalized any plans for anything, at this point, mainly because a lot of us know his family and so we want to be very sensitive about what we do."
Looking Ahead
The highly anticipated 2026 Call of Duty game is expected to be announced at the Xbox Showcase, which is scheduled for June 7.
Mark Grigsby reflected on the studio's enduring identity:
"The DNA of that crew still lives in this studio."
Jack O'Hara emphasized the team's core focus:
"Our culture is really about trying to make the best game possible..."
