Bitcoin Slips 2.4%, Testing Bull Market Momentum
BTC falls to $75,800, its lowest level since May, as other major cryptocurrencies slide further.
In Friday afternoon trading, Bitcoin (BTC) declined 2.4% over the past 24 hours to $75,800, its lowest level in May. Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP (XRP) also fell, dropping slightly more than Bitcoin.
Tom Lee stated earlier in May that if Bitcoin closed higher for the month, it would mark three consecutive months of gains and indicate a bull market.
Bitcoin started May at approximately $77,000. With over a week remaining in the month, the recent declines have put that potential streak in question.
U.S. stocks held modest gains, with the Nasdaq up 0.3%.
