HP Begins North American Orders for HyperX Omen 15 Gaming Laptop with Multiple Configurations

HP begins listing and accepting orders for its HyperX Omen 15 gaming laptop, initially announced at CES 2026. The 15.3-inch device is currently available in North America with a selection of processor, display, and memory configurations, all featuring Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics.

Available Configurations and Pricing

Three primary configurations are listed for pre-order:

  • Intel Core Ultra 7 356H, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 5070 8GB, 15.3-inch IPS 180Hz display: $2,099
  • AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 5070 8GB, 15.3-inch IPS 180Hz display: $2,099
  • Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 5070 8GB, 15.3-inch OLED 120Hz display: $2,799

An additional processor option, the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX, has also been mentioned in product announcements.

Processor and Performance Specifications

The Intel configurations utilize processors from the Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake). The Core Ultra 7 356H and Core Ultra 9 386H each feature 16 cores (4 Performance + 8 Efficient + 4 Low Power Efficient) and 18 MB of Smart Cache.

The AMD configuration confirmed for ordering includes the Ryzen 7 8745HX, which employs Zen 4 architecture. All models are paired with Nvidia RTX 5070 laptop graphics, up to 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and PCIe Gen5 SSD storage.

Display Options

Buyers can choose between two display panels, both with a 16:10 aspect ratio:

  • IPS Panel: 2.5K (2560x1600) resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness.
  • OLED Panel: 2.8K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,100 nits peak HDR brightness.

The laptop has a listed weight of approximately 5.34 pounds.

Shipping dates vary by configuration:

  • Intel Core Ultra 7 and AMD Ryzen 7 models: Scheduled to begin shipping on July 3.
  • Intel Core Ultra 9 model: Scheduled to ship between May 27 and June 1.
