A new study aims to identify early biomarkers for treatment effectiveness in inclusion body myositis (IBM).

The Snow Centre for Immune Health and rheumatologist Dr Jessica Day from the Royal Melbourne Hospital have initiated a study on inclusion body myositis (IBM).

The study aims to identify biomarkers that indicate early treatment effectiveness. A pilot clinical trial testing a therapy targeting immune pathways active in IBM is the first step.
