An Unsolved Death in Seattle’s CHOP Zone

He arrived during the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) , a protest zone established in the city.

Incident

Less than a week after arriving, Mays was shot and killed inside the CHOP zone.

The case remains unsolved.

Investigation

The Seattle Times, KUOW, and NPR's Embedded podcast collaborated on an eight-part series titled "We Keep Us Safe," which premiered June 11.
