Suspect Charged in Bondi Beach Attack
Naveed Akram, the surviving suspect in the mass shooting that occurred on Sunday at Bondi Beach in Sydney, has been charged with 59 offenses. These include 15 counts of murder and one count of committing a terrorist act. Additional charges encompass 40 counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, and one charge related to a public display of a prohibited terrorist organization symbol.

Naveed Akram sustained critical injuries during the Sunday incident and had his initial hearing from his hospital bedside, as confirmed by the New South Wales court.
