Stabbing at New York's Penn Station Leaves Six Injured
A stabbing incident at New York's Penn Station on Sunday evening resulted in six people sustaining injuries. A suspect was taken into custody by Amtrak police.

The New York City Fire Department received a report of a stabbing at approximately 7 p.m. at the intersection of West 33rd Street and 7th Avenue, an entrance to Penn Station. Amtrak police responded to the scene.
According to law enforcement, the suspect may have been unhoused. The investigation is ongoing.
Injuries
- One person was seriously injured.
- Four individuals sustained moderate or minor injuries.

Five victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital. A sixth victim was taken to another hospital.

The stabbing occurred ahead of NBA Finals Games 3 and 4 at Madison Square Garden, which is located above Penn Station. Extra security measures were in place for the event, which President Donald Trump was scheduled to attend. This is the first NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden since 1999.
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani expressed sympathy for the victims and gratitude to first responders.
