Resident Kendall Bingham reported that his property experienced flooding, with water levels reaching approximately 20 centimeters. He stated he had been living in Harvey for over seven years and had never seen similar flooding before. "The storm arrived without warning and caught residents by surprise," Bingham said.
Warnings Issued, but Storm Arrives Suddenly
The Bureau of Meteorology had issued a warning to residents in Collie and Harvey before the storm, indicating a risk of severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. Despite the advance notice, Bingham described the event as arriving "without warning," highlighting the sudden and intense nature of the downpour.
