Patched Mongols Gang Member Recaptured After Five Days on the Run in Darwin
A 44-year-old patched member of the Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang, Brandt Graham, was arrested by Northern Territory Police on April 9, 2025—five days after escaping custody from Darwin Local Court. The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop in the Palmerston suburb of Gunn.
Sequence of Events
On April 4, 2025, Graham fled from Darwin Local Court while under the supervision of G4S security guards. He ran from the courthouse down Cavenagh Street and was chased by two security guards.
The NT Police Fugitive Taskforce tracked Graham across multiple locations. Police stated that he evaded capture with assistance from known associates.
On April 9, police stopped a grey Mazda in Gunn, a suburb of Palmerston. Graham fled on foot from the vehicle and was apprehended by the Dog Operations Unit. The driver of the vehicle was also arrested.
Arrests of Known Associates
During the manhunt, seven people known to Graham were arrested on charges including outstanding warrants, breach of bail, and drug-related offences. A 25-year-old woman remains in custody and has been accused of assisting Graham. The status of the other six individuals is unclear.
Charges and Current Status
At the time of his escape, Graham was applying for bail on drugs and weapons charges. Both Graham and the driver of the vehicle remain in custody. They are expected to be charged.
