WASHINGTON — Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was admitted to a hospital in Washington D.C. on Sunday morning, according to a statement from his spokesperson.
"Senator McConnell was admitted to the hospital this morning," the statement read. "He is receiving excellent care."
A representative for McConnell did not respond to inquiries regarding his current condition or the specific reason for the hospitalization.
