Gold Coast nurse charged with offences against six teenage girls

A 58-year-old nurse from Robina, Queensland, has been charged with multiple offences involving six teenage girls.

The charges, laid by detectives from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit, include:

  • Six counts of stalking
  • Two counts of indecent treatment of a child
  • One count of sexual assault
  • One count of abuse of office
  • One count of possessing child exploitation material
  • One count of creating child exploitation material

The alleged offences occurred between November 2020 and May 2024. The man was arrested on Saturday night and refused bail. He is scheduled to appear at Southport Magistrates Court.

Gold Coast Health issued a statement confirming they are aware of the allegations and that immediate measures were taken, including notifying Queensland Police Service and removing the employee from the workplace.

Investigations continue. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
