Behaviour Interactive held a 10th anniversary broadcast for Dead by Daylight, announcing numerous updates and collaborations.
Dead by Daylight Movie
- The previously announced Dead by Daylight movie has a new director: Thordur Palsson.
- The screenplay is complete, written by Alexandre Aja and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
- Filming is expected to begin in 2027.
The Life Road Chapter
- A new Survivor-focused chapter titled "The Life Road" launches June 25, 2025.
- It adds the game's first Indigenous Survivor, Shane Wiigwaas, portrayed by actor Dallas Goldtooth.
Chorus of Sin Community Chapter
- The community-developed chapter "Chorus of Sin" will release August 25, 2026, with a new Killer and Survivor.
The Black Banquet Event
- The 10th anniversary event, "The Black Banquet," runs from June 25 to July 16, 2025.
- It features new formal cosmetics and the Sunflesh Collection in an upcoming Rift.
The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter
- A chapter based on the 2024 narrative spin-off The Casting of Frank Stone will arrive in March 2027.
Mall Map
- A new mall map, inspired by community requests and liminal spaces, launches in December 2025.
Music Collaborations
- Ice Nine Kills will have an in-game Collection, launching in two days, with a new track and music video.
- Iron Maiden's 50th anniversary includes an Eddie Legendary outfit for The Huntress.
The Walking Dead and Silent Hill
- The Walking Dead collaboration adds Glenn (August 2025) and Negan (2027) as Legendary outfits for Rick.
- Silent Hill collaboration expands with a Legendary outfit for Cheryl (June 2025) turning her into Shimizu Hinako, and a Nurse outfit for The Spirit (2026).
Diablo and Scooby-Doo Collections
- Diablo content, based on Diablo 4, includes Lilith as a Legendary outfit for The Artist.
- A Scooby-Doo collection will feature a Mystery Inc.-themed onesie outfit.
No Dead by Daylight 2
- Behaviour Interactive confirmed no plans for Dead by Daylight 2, instead investing in the current game's future.
Visual Overhaul and Dynamic Weather
- A major visual overhaul, including character model reworks, facial animations, and improved environments, will roll out in 2027.
- Dynamic weather (e.g., light rain, storms) will be added.
Modding Support
- Official modding support, allowing players to create and share maps and modes, is planned for 2026.
New Game Modes
- Two new modes are in development: 1v1 (early 2027) and Zombie Mode (release date not announced).
Terrifier Chapter
- Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise will join Dead by Daylight as a licensed Killer in November 2026.
