Bovensiepen 05 GT: A New German Performance Wagon Arrives

The second model from the family behind Alpina is a 790-hp beast based on the BMW 5-Series Touring.

A New Contender in the High-Performance Estate Segment

Bovensiepen, a new German firm founded by the family that created Alpina, has introduced its second model: the 05 GT. Based on the BMW 5-Series Touring, this high-performance estate is built for speed and luxury.

Power and Performance

The 05 GT uses the same plug-in hybrid 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 as the BMW M5 Touring. Bovensiepen has modified the engine with a new air intake, titanium Akrapovic exhaust, and software tweaks.

The result is 790 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque, up from the standard 718 hp and 738 lb-ft. The car accelerates to 62 mph in under 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. It weighs 5,632 lbs, just 11 lbs more than the M5 Touring.

Suspension and Design

Suspension upgrades include new Eibach springs, modified support bearings, and a strut tower brace. Exterior changes feature revised front and rear bumpers, a new mesh grille, 21-inch forged wheels, side skirts, a roof spoiler, and quad tailpipes.

Visual updates were designed by Frank Stephenson, the acclaimed automotive designer.

Luxury Interior

The cabin features Lavalina leather sourced from selected farms in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. Buyers can choose from customizable leather colors, ensuring a personalized experience.

Availability and Pricing

Deliveries are planned for the fourth quarter of 2024. Pricing starts at €198,900.
