NASA has announced a two-day social media event for the launch of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, scheduled for August 30, 2026, on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
Registration Details
- Up to 50 digital creators will be selected to attend.
- Eligibility: Members of the public actively using social media to reach unique audiences. Current or former NASA employees, contractors, and interns are not eligible.
- Selected participants will be notified starting July 17; waitlist notifications on July 22.
- Open to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals.
- Participants must be at least 18 years old.
Participant Activities
- Tour NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
- Learn from astrophysics experts.
- Meet other digital creators and NASA social media staff.
- View the rocket launch.
Logistics
- Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and food costs.
- Valid identification is required for entry; REAL ID-compliant ID or passport for U.S. citizens; foreign passport or other documents for non-citizens.
- Launch date may change; if postponed within 72 hours, event may be rescheduled; if beyond 72 hours, event may be canceled.
- Registration is non-transferable and for one person only.
