Werro wins 800m in 1:54.55, fails to break world record; Bol second in 1:57.13

Audrey Werro delivered a historic performance at the Ostrava Golden Spike, winning the women's 800m in a time of 1:54.55. This marks the eighth-fastest time in history.

"1:54.55 — the eighth-fastest time in history."

She did not break the world record of 1:53.28, set by Jarmila Kratochvilova in 1983.

Femke Broeders-Bol finished second in 1:57.13, becoming the third-fastest Dutch woman over 800m. This was her first outdoor race at the distance.

Eight women finished under two minutes.

Other Events

Noah Lyles ran a world-best 14.67 over the unofficial distance of 150m on a curved track, surpassing the previous best of 14.92 by Kishane Thompson.
