Scotland Fans Drain Boston’s Samuel Adams Supply in World Cup Arrival

"They came, they saw, they drank it dry."

A group of Scottish soccer fans visiting Boston for the World Cup has reportedly consumed all available Samuel Adams Boston Lager at a local taproom. The incident occurred as fans arrived in the city, marking Scotland's first World Cup appearance since 1998.

A Long-Awaited Return

Scotland qualified for the current World Cup tournament for the first time in 30 years. Many fans, including Ian McGillivray, traveled to Boston for the matches. McGillivray plays bagpipes as a tribute to his ancestor, who performed on a World War I battlefield.

Scotland's first match is against Haiti on Saturday. Some Scottish fans do not yet have tickets and hope to acquire them at the last minute, while others plan to be in the city simply for the atmosphere.

Haitian Fan Representation

While the Scottish fans made their presence felt immediately at the bar, Haitian fans face greater obstacles due to travel and visa restrictions, as well as limited flights from Haiti to the United States. However, due to the large local Haitian population in Boston, the team is still expected to have significant fan support.
