Rainfall rates exceeded seven inches per hour, causing widespread flooding and dangerous conditions.

Post-Tropical Storm Arthur moved through Louisiana on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, producing heavy rain and tornadoes.

The storm caused widespread flooding in the Bayou and River Parishes, with rainfall rates exceeding seven inches per hour. Street flooding was reported in Kenner.

A confirmed tornado occurred near City Park in New Orleans, damaging centuries-old oak trees. Dozens of Tornado Warnings were issued over five hours.

The severe weather has since moved from the New Orleans Metro area to the Northshore parishes.
