Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2: Leaks Detail Design, Colors, and Software

Recent leaks from multiple sources, including leakers Galaxy Techie and Evan Blass, have provided detailed information regarding Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The devices are expected to be unveiled at a Galaxy Unpacked event in late July 2026, alongside new foldable devices.

Design and Colors

Galaxy Watch 9

A "Classic" model will not be released this year.

The standard Galaxy Watch 9 is expected to be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. Reported color options for the watch case include black, silver, and beige.

Renders published by Android Headlines, sourced from leaker @OnLeaks, depict the Watch 9 in light silver, dark silver, and near-black cases with white, green, or dark blue bands. Design updates are described as minimal, including new case colors, a new default band design, and a subtler brushed metal finish.

Galaxy Watch Ultra 2

A new band design includes an "Ultra" wordmark.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is reported to feature a boxier chassis with thinner display bezels. Leaked renders from Evan Blass show a design similar to its predecessor, with numbers added along the bezel.

Notable changes include:

  • The "Quick button" on the side is said to feature an orange outline, described by some sources as a smaller ring, instead of a solid orange coat.
  • Accent colors have been removed from the two additional buttons, and reports indicate increased separation between the buttons.

Color options for the Ultra 2 may include beige, black with a bluish strap, and silver with a green band.

Hardware and Software

The Galaxy Watch 9 is rumored to use a Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. A potential price increase has been noted in leaks, though this has not been confirmed. The previous generation Galaxy Watch 8 is currently available starting at $219.

Software details for One UI 9 Watch include a redesigned Samsung Health interface.

Key software features expected with One UI 9 Watch include:

  • A redesigned Samsung Health interface
  • A new watch face picker
  • A dedicated compass interface
  • New health tracking features, such as "trail run" tracking and new Samsung Health markers, shown in leaked images.

Launch Timeline
