Sprinter Eddie Nketia will represent Australia for the first time at the Commonwealth Games after being included in the track and field team for Glasgow.
The 86-person team was announced at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park on Monday.
Nketia, born in New Zealand, ran a wind-assisted 9.74 seconds for the 100 metres at the Big Ten Track and Field Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska in May. That time broke the previous all-conditions Australian record.
Nketia spent part of his youth in Canberra before moving back to New Zealand on a sports scholarship.
