Liam Payne’s £21.9 Million Fortune to Be Inherited by His Nine-Year-Old Son

Bear Grey Payne, the nine-year-old son of the late Liam Payne, will inherit his father's entire £21.9 million ($41 million) estate following a recent High Court decision.

The 31-year-old singer died in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. As Payne was not married and died without a will, UK law dictates that his son is the sole heir, though Bear will not take control of the fortune until he turns 18.

Cheryl Tweedy, Bear’s mother, and lawyer Richard Bray have been appointed as administrators to collect and preserve the estate. Newly released probate documents reveal that parts of the fortune can be used for Bear’s benefit before he reaches adulthood, with the remainder placed in a trust until then.

Claims against the estate must be made within six months. Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is not entitled to any inheritance as the couple was not married. Cassidy has stated that she does not intend to make a claim against the estate.
