Olivia Rodrigo Launches Inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival

Musician Olivia Rodrigo has announced the Daisy Chain Fields Festival, a single-day event scheduled for August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California. The festival will feature a lineup composed entirely of female artists and female-fronted bands.

The confirmed lineup includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Not for Radio, and Olivia Rodrigo. Special guests scheduled to appear include Karen O, Stevie Nicks, and Sarah McLachlan.

According to reports, the festival will host 14 performances across two stages. Organizers stated that all artists have agreed to perform without taking a profit from their performances.

"All net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to nonprofit organizations that support women and girls."

Background and Inspiration

According to Rodrigo, the festival was inspired by Lilith Fair, a concert tour founded by Sarah McLachlan in the 1990s. Rodrigo stated that she contacted McLachlan during the planning stages. McLachlan is scheduled to perform at the event.

Rodrigo stated on social media that the festival fulfills a long-held vision. The name "Daisy Chain Fields" was described as a reference to a vision of attendees making daisy chain flower crowns or friendship bracelets, representing individual links in a chain.
