Dusty May Departs Michigan for Dallas Mavericks
Ann Arbor, MI – University of Michigan men's basketball head coach Dusty May has accepted the head coaching position with the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA. Associate head coach Mike Boynton has been appointed interim head coach at Michigan.
Michigan athletics director Warde Manuel announced on Tuesday that May is departing to join the Mavericks. Manuel stated that Boynton has earned the trust of the student-athletes and staff. Summer workouts for the Michigan program are scheduled to begin this week.
