Court Proceedings
The trial of William Kamm, known as "Little Pebble," and Sandra Susan Mathison commenced at Sydney's Downing Centre District Court on Tuesday. Both have pleaded not guilty to charges including grooming a child under 14 for unlawful sexual activity and grooming a child for unlawful sexual activity.
Mr Kamm, 76, also faces charges of inciting a person to do a sexual act with him in aggravating circumstances and two counts of breaching an extended supervision order, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Allegations
The Crown alleges that Mr Kamm told the complainant it was her "mission from God" to become his wife and bear 45 of his children.
The complainant was six years old in 2011 when Ms Mathison facilitated phone calls between her and Mr Kamm, who was then in jail for unrelated matters.
According to the Crown prosecutor, Mr Kamm stated his mission was to repopulate the "new world" by having 12 wives (queens) and 24 princesses, all expected to bear his children. He allegedly referred to the complainant as his "main queen."
Calls recorded in prison captured Mr Kamm saying, "I can't wait to meet you, I love you my darling." He also allegedly said she should "put her running shoes on so he could chase her around" and that he would "lock her in a closet to keep her for himself."
In 2014, Mr Kamm allegedly suggested a cruise to carry out "God's mission" as there were no laws at sea preventing intercourse.
Complainant's Account
The complainant moved to the Bangalee property in 2019, while Mr Kamm was in Sydney due to court orders. She left after expressing discomfort during a phone call, saying she did not want to kiss Mr Kamm.
The court heard she vomited from anxiety about the prospect of sexual intercourse with him.
In 2023, the complainant told Ms Mathison she was no longer "going to do God's will" and reported the matter to police.
Evidence
The Crown's case relies on recorded jail calls, letters, and gifts allegedly sent by Mr Kamm to the complainant. The trial continues before Judge Nicole Noman.
