The body of Daniel Hidden, 26, was discovered at approximately 11am on Wednesday in bushland at Mount Cougal National Park, ending a large-scale search operation.
Daniel Hidden had been missing since June 14, when he was last seen leaving a Broadbeach address at about 3am. His silver Hyundai Santa Fe and Galaxy caravan were found parked near Currumbin Creek Rd two days after he went missing.
Search Operation
The search involved over 100 personnel, including police, SES volunteers, Queensland Fire Department crews, Rural Fire Service volunteers, Polair, and drone operators. Australian Defence Force personnel joined the operation on Tuesday. Search headquarters was established near where Hidden's vehicle was found.
Investigation
Police have stated that Hidden's death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be prepared for the Coroner. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding Hidden's death are ongoing.
Family
Hidden's family remained at the search site throughout the operation and made a public appeal for his safe return.
