Governor Reports Power Outages in Sevastopol After Strike

Sevastopol, Crimea — Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-appointed governor of Sevastopol, announced via Telegram that the city is experiencing widespread power outages following an attack on energy infrastructure. He stated that a special regime has been implemented at energy facilities while damage assessments are underway, and that emergency services have been placed on full alert.
Residents Advised to Conserve Power
In response to the blackout, local authorities have advised residents to implement power-saving measures, including reducing mobile phone screen brightness and closing background applications. With expected high temperatures of 30°C, residents were also urged to check on elderly neighbors to ensure their safety and well-being.
Ukrainian Official Claims Responsibility
Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, stated on Wednesday that drones targeted 48 operational and planned military sites. He claimed that the main power substation of Sevastopol was hit during the attacks. Explosions were also reported in Bakhchisarai, Kerch, and near Mount Ai-Petri, where a radio engineering battalion of the Russian Aerospace Forces is based.
