Tobias Nuttall jailed for 18 years over 'vicious' murder of partner Alisha Hendren-Krippner
A Perth man who stabbed his partner to death with a 25-centimetre dagger has been sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum of 18 years.
The Murder
Alisha Lauren Hendren-Krippner, 30, was stabbed multiple times in her Bassendean home in August last year. Tobias Marcus Nuttall, 32, pleaded guilty to her murder.
The weapon used was a 25-centimetre-long dagger, which was found bloodstained at the scene.
The Sentence
Justice Amanda Forrester sentenced Nuttall to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 18 years, backdated to August. She described the attack as "vicious, uncontrolled and completely disproportionate" and highlighted the importance of general deterrence for violence against women.
Background to the Attack
