Remembrance and Calls for Peace
Parents who lost children during the 2024 protests have requested the government to allow a peaceful remembrance. Speaking to the press, one parent emphasized their desire for calm, stating they are "too old" for running battles and tear gas.
Opposition leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, and Eugene Wamalwa joined victims' families to lay a wreath at parliament in honor of those who died in last year's demonstrations.
