BBC One’s Sort Your Life Out star Dilly Carter has revealed a deeply personal chapter of her life that began with loss and ended with love.
The organizer assisted an ex-boyfriend with clearing and organizing his late mother’s home. What started as an act of kindness in the wake of a death soon rekindled their relationship. The couple has since reconciled and married.
Carter’s passion for order has roots in her own childhood. Growing up in a disorganized household with working parents, she developed a strong preference for tidiness and structure early in life.
Before her television career, Carter worked as a personal assistant for business executives, where she managed complex schedules. She later expanded her organizational services beyond the office, bringing her skills into the homes of those same executives—a natural progression that would eventually lead her to national television.
