Family Feud Erupts Over Chadwick Boseman's Estate
Derrick and Kevin Boseman have filed a petition seeking control of the late actor Chadwick Boseman's estate, accusing his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, of mismanagement and failing to distribute assets.
The Legal Dispute
According to the court filing, since Chadwick Boseman died without a will, Ledward inherited half of the estate, while his parents received equal shares of the other half. Ledward was appointed administrator of the estate.
The brothers, assigned by parents Leroy and Carolyn Boseman to handle their interests, alleged that Ledward did not distribute assets to the parents and continues to control the estate without their input.
Disputed Assets
At the time of Boseman's death, Ledward reported the estate's value at over $3.8 million in assets. However, the brothers argue this excluded royalties, residuals, image and intellectual property rights, and other assets.
They also claim to have discovered an unaccounted bank account and are unsure of its status or distribution.

The filing further alleges Ledward entered contracts regarding Boseman's image and intellectual property without consulting his parents, exceeding her authority as administrator and causing emotional distress.
