A Kenmore Air plane crash in Shallow Bay left four people injured, one critically, after all 11 aboard were rescued Thursday evening.
Incident Details
On Thursday at approximately 5:15 p.m., a Kenmore Air de Havilland DHC-3 Otter (Flight 140) crashed in Shallow Bay near Sucia Island, San Juan County. The aircraft had departed Lake Union in Seattle at 4:30 p.m., en route to Roche Harbor on San Juan Island.
Casualties
There were 10 passengers and 1 pilot on board. All individuals were rescued and accounted for. Two injured passengers were taken to a hospital in Bellingham; two others were transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Seven additional passengers were taken to a U.S. Coast Guard base for evaluation.
San Juan County Sheriff Eric Peter reported that one of the four injured passengers was transported in critical condition.

Statements
Kenmore Air CEO David Gudgel stated that the airline is cooperating with investigators and focusing on passenger and crew support. The airline canceled all scheduled flights on Friday. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
