In early February 2024, Jason Sudeikis gathered the writers of "Ted Lasso" in Ojai, California, to discuss a potential continuation of the series after its third season. The show had concluded in 2023, but Sudeikis decided to explore further storylines. The fourth season will premiere on August 5, 2025, and will feature a women's soccer team, the Lady Greyhounds, while returning main characters including Ted Lasso (Sudeikis), Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), Keeley Jones (Juno Temple), and Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein).

The Decision to Continue
Sudeikis, who had originally planned a three-season arc, reconsidered after feedback from fans and collaborators. He organized a retreat to discuss ideas, including spinoffs for characters like Roy Kent and Keeley Jones, but ultimately decided to continue the main series.

Production & New Leadership
