Opening Day Kicks Off March 26
The 2026 season's coverage will commence with an Opening Day doubleheader on Thursday, March 26.
This opening slate will feature:
- The Pittsburgh Pirates against the New York Mets.
- The Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers' game will be the sole primetime MLB game on Opening Day. This contest is part of a larger slate of 27 primetime MLB games scheduled across NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN for 2026.
Sunday Showcases and Special Events
Sunday Night Baseball is scheduled to launch on March 29, with the Seattle Mariners hosting the Cleveland Guardians.
The 18-game MLB Sunday Leadoff schedule is slated to begin on May 3, featuring the Toronto Blue Jays visiting the Minnesota Twins.
