IO Interactive has updated the minimum and recommended PC specifications for its upcoming game, 007 First Light. The revisions were issued following community feedback regarding inconsistencies in the previously published specifications. The studio attributed the initial error to an internal miscommunication that resulted in the release of outdated information.
Background and Revisions
The initial PC specifications for 007 First Light included requirements such as 32GB of RAM and 12GB of VRAM for recommended settings (1080p at 60 frames per second). Community feedback highlighted inconsistencies, including the recommendation of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which has 8GB of VRAM, while simultaneously listing a 12GB VRAM requirement for the same settings.
Following a re-examination and additional testing, IO Interactive made several adjustments:
- Recommended VRAM: Reduced from 12GB to 8GB.
- Recommended RAM: Halved from 32GB to 16GB.
- Minimum CPU Information: Corrected, as the Intel Core i5 9500K was initially listed for both minimum and recommended configurations.
The studio issued an apology for the confusion caused by the initial incorrect specifications.
