Lakewood Murder-Suicide Event
A candlelight vigil took place, and a GoFundMe campaign was initiated following a murder-suicide incident in Lakewood, California. The event resulted in the deaths of three family members: Hector Lionel Alfaro, 52; his wife, Roxana Rodriguez, 48; and their 17-year-old daughter, Sienna Alfaro. Law enforcement officials determined that Hector Lionel Alfaro shot his wife and daughter before taking his own life.
Incident Details
- Deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on Thursday morning in the 5800 block of Lorelei Avenue.
- The call originated from a 19-year-old woman who stated her father had shot at her and was subsequently found unconscious nearby.
- Upon arrival, deputies encountered the 19-year-old woman outside the residence.
- Inside the home, three deceased individuals were located. Hector Lionel Alfaro was found in the den, Roxana Rodriguez in a bedroom, and Sienna Alfaro in a second bedroom, all with gunshot wounds.
- The 19-year-old daughter reported hearing gunshots while asleep. Her father then appeared, discharged a handgun at her multiple times without striking her, and then shot himself in her presence.
- Two firearms were recovered at the scene.

- A GoFundMe fundraiser was established to support the surviving siblings with immediate needs such as funeral services, counseling, and living expenses.
- As of Saturday afternoon, the fundraiser had accumulated over $70,000.
