An explosion at a factory in northern China resulted in two fatalities and 84 injuries. State media reported that five individuals are currently missing.
The blast occurred around 15:00 local time (07:00 GMT) on Sunday at the Baogang United Steel plant in Inner Mongolia. The incident generated noticeable tremors in the surrounding area.
Footage showed the explosion emitting large plumes of smoke. The factory sustained significant damage, with parts of the structure, including ceilings and pipes, collapsing.
Among the hospitalized, five individuals were reported to have serious injuries. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.
