The incident reportedly occurred in the boiler room and is believed to be an accident. There have been no reported injuries.
Scotland's The Herald stated that "Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene, where firefighters worked to secure structural damage at a commercial building. There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene at 9.21am."
The explosion took place around 5 AM, which likely contributed to the absence of injuries due to minimal staff presence. The office's operational capacity moving forward is currently unknown.
Rockstar North is a key developer for GTA 6, which is now scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, following previous delays. There is no current indication that this incident will affect GTA 6 development.
