Bank of America CEO Excluded from Trump Reception at Davos

Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan was reportedly not invited to a White House reception honoring Donald Trump during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The reception, held on Wednesday night, included other major Wall Street bank CEOs such as Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase, Jane Fraser of Citigroup, and Charlie Scharf of Wells Fargo.

This marks the second instance of Moynihan's reported exclusion from a Trump-related event, following his absence from a private White House dinner with finance leaders in November. The situation is linked to the issue of "debanking," a claim by Trump allies that banks unfairly deny services based on political views.

Donald Trump previously accused Moynihan of personally refusing to open a bank account for him after his presidency in 2021 and publicly referenced this in August of the previous year.

At the World Economic Forum, Trump's address on Wednesday included calls for negotiations regarding Greenland, which he repeatedly referred to as "Iceland." He also criticized the U.S.'s international contributions and made remarks about NATO allies, wind farms, and the 2020 election.

Bank of America declined to comment on the matter, and the White House did not immediately respond to inquiries.
