Luxury watchmaker Jacob & Co has unveiled a new timepiece in India. The watch is themed around Vantara, a private wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center managed by the family of Asia's wealthiest individual, Mukesh Ambani.

The bejeweled watch features sculpted figures of a lion and a Bengal tiger. It also includes a hand-painted figurine of Anant Ambani, Mukesh Ambani's youngest son, seated in the center of the watch.

Although Jacob & Co has not publicly disclosed the price, industry collective Watchopea estimates the watch's value at $1.5 million (£1.1 million, 137 million rupees).

Vantara, which is owned by Anant Ambani, is not open to the public. The center spans over 3,500 acres and houses more than 2,000 species, including lions, elephants, and tigers. The facility previously attracted attention last year due to allegations of unlawfully acquiring and mistreating animals, but a Supreme Court-appointed team subsequently found no evidence of wrongdoing.
