A significant fire occurred this afternoon at a commercial property on Lampton Avenue in Derwent Park, Hobart's northern suburbs.
The Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) dispatched multiple crews, including units from Hobart and Glenorchy, to manage the blaze. The fire is primarily located in a garage area at the rear of the property.
Witnesses observed substantial black smoke emanating from the site, visible across several kilometers of Hobart's northern suburbs.
